Hana Limited is a publishing company specialising in delivering high-quality Māori language resources to schools and other educational environments. It produces multimedia, cross-curricula resources in te reo Māori and English for teachers and learners.  Hana Limted works throughout Aotearoa and the Pacific and has developed strong relationships with whānau, hapū and iwi, and its main client, New Zealand’s Ministry of Education.  Hana prides itself in fostering creative excellence, offering diversity in resource material, and inspiring students and teachers in Aotearoa.

We write and publish Te Reo Singalong books. We started the company in 2012 and since then we have sold around 50,000 Te Reo Singalong books into early childhood centres and schools throughout New Zealand. We currently have 13 titles available, with two more planned for 2017. We also perform our books in a Te Reo Singalong show for children and present Te Reo Pronunciation workshops for teachers. We won the Print category at the Māori Language Awards in 2013. We also won two awards at the CLNZ Educational Publishing Awards in 2015 – the judges choice award for Best Resource in Te Reo Māori and the Teachers’ Choice award for Best Resource in Te Reo Māori.

From 1986, ABA has provided teachers and students with relevant and engaging educational resources (such as workbooks, elearning and online revision) which meet the requirements of the New Zealand curriculum.

Global Education Systems (GES) publish quality literacy resources to stimulate young minds. Resources developed by Jill Eggleton QSO, international educational consultant and author, include writing, guided reading, shared reading and independent reading.

Educational Resources produces educational print and video resources for community groups and schools and celebrates titles such as Youth and the Law which is now in its 3rd edition.

Their products have won many awards including a Writemark plain English award and has been operating since 1999. Prior to this they were the Legal Resources Trust doing the same work with the same personnel since 1991.

Huia is an independent publisher with a focus on supporting Māori and Pacific writers, describing the diversity of Māori experiences and perspectives, and promoting the Māori language. Huia publishes fiction and non-fiction for adults and children, as well as educational resources in the Māori language.

Rainbow Reading.png

Rainbow Reading (and the US version: New Heights) is a program comprising audio-supported “hi-lo”, leveled books with audio-support provided on pre-recorded “magic” reading pens. The system is research-proven to significantly lift reading competence and confidence in beginning readers, including students learning English. miniRAINBOWS is a series for very young children to read and enjoy supported by the magic audiopen.

The New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER) is New Zealand’s only national, independent educational research organisation. NZCER Press is the organisation’s publishing arm, publishing research-based assessment tools, journals, books and classroom resources, written by external authors and in-house researchers. Their publications are designed to meet the needs they identify across the education sector through their research work.
