PANZ is committed to maintaining and encouraging a high standard of professionalism within our industry. PANZ is involved in a range of initiatives to help new people enter the publishing industry and to ensure that existing personnel enjoy ongoing professional development opportunities.

PANZ International Conference 2014 

The PANZ International Conference 2014 will be held at the Mercure Hotel, 8 Customs Street, Auckland on 31st March and 1st April and we are now taking registrations.

They will be joined by key industry figures from NZ. 

Special accommodation rates of $149 room and breakfast incl. GST per night with the Mercure Hotel have been negotiated.

Whitireia Publishing Programme

Whitireia Polytechnic offer a key training course for publishing in New Zealand. The publishing programme is an introduction to all aspects of the publishing process, including editing, marketing and book production. It is available online or at the Wellington campus. Intern Programme

PANZ and the Whitireia publishing programme, in association with Creative New Zealand, provide internship opportunities for three new graduates of the Whitireia publishing programme to enter the publishing industry each year.
