Programme

The programme is full of stimulating speakers and lively panels ready to explore the way forward for a publishing industry that’s gone through significant upheaval over the past 18 months.

We’ll be going deep into a range of issues including the impact of COVID on the industry, how environmental issues are influencing publishing decision-making and the potential impact of Amazon spreading its delivery wings into Aotearoa.

We have a great line up of inspirational and engaging speakers, including Tim Brown, the genius behind the sustainable shoe brand Allbirds, tech guru and futurist Benedict Evans and Bodour Al-Qasimi, President of the International Publishers Association. More details will follow as we confirm our final speakers.

We’ll be bringing in many of our speakers via video link but will also have a mix of panels and speakers in the room. For those who can’t make it to Auckland there is an option to join the event via a live stream.

We’ll wrap up the conference with a glass of something tasty and some nibbles at the Book Systems Networking Drinks being held at the Jefferson in central Auckland from 6pm – 7.30pm.
