Massey University Press has a new position for an Associate Publisher. This position will be based at Te Papa Press, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, as part of the provision of publishing services to Te Papa by Massey University.
Working directly with and reporting to the Massey University Press Publisher, you will be joining the small, dedicated Te Papa Press team which is focused on producing high-quality books that lock in to the Museum’s mission. The list is primarily scholarly non-fiction, with a small but growing children’s list.. The successful candidate will need to have knowledge of and enthusiasm for the art, history, natural history and rich and diverse cultural life of Aotearoa and a familiarity with te ao Māori. Experience within a museum environment would also be an advantage.
This position is ideal for an early to mid-career commissioning editor. It is a two-year fixed-term appointment and the successful candidate is expected to be able to take up their role in early February 2021.
