Allen & Unwin New Zealand is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised sales assistant to work in our busy and vibrant central Auckland office.
This is a key sales support role assisting in the day-to-day administration and operations of the sales team and our customers. The role also includes some administration support to the smooth running of the office.
The role
- General support for the office and field-based sales team
- Administration support for a range of key retailer accounts
- Fielding queries and processing orders
- Preparing presentations for retailers and internal briefings
- Responding to ad hoc requests for book samples/Advance Information (AI) sheets/book jackets
- General ad hoc office admin
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Good communicator who is confident with dealing with people at all levels, particularly on the phone and over email/video
- Excellent attention to detail and with a focus on efficiency at all times
- Deadline driven with strong time-management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams
- Experience of the book trade or publishing environment would be an advantage
